Challange : The client, a major asset management institution, had global subsidiaries that had previously operated as stand alone entities with varying levels of IT Governance and Information Security (IS) controls maturity.

Solution : An IT Governance project was initiated by the organization. The aim of this project was to bring each subsidiary to a single IT Governance and IS control benchmark. A Deblankson consultant managed a significant element of this effort and their responsibilities included: Developing details project plans, monitoring progress, identifying risks and issues, working with global partners to resolve issues, providing guidance and clarification on the Organization's IT and IS control frameworks and policies, performing quality reviews on control testing, managing budgets and training subsidiary team members on IT and IS controls Implementation and operation.

Benefits : Deblankson facilitated improved efficiencies of coordination across the different global subsidiaries of the organization. The project team was able to realign the compliance approaches for each operation and implement improved consistency in content, quality and communication of controls documentation.
